CUSTOM MADE FIRE PLACE MANTEL BEAMS

The beams are made from air dried oak at our onsite workshop perfect for use as mantels, floating shelfs or lintels.

All made from European/North American oak

Dimensions available are: 150 x 150mm ( 6 inch square ), 125mm x 125mm (5 inch square), 200mm x 100mm (8 x 4inches)

Lengths available up to 1.8m but we can produce upto 2.4m long if needed (call us for details)

Beams are all unique and each one different, but generally all have lovely features such as knots, waney edge and character cracks and splits.

Oak is air dried to stop massive movements, but due to the nature of the material, you should expect some shrinkage/movement as it adapts to the temperatures of your home.

Beams will be planed and sanded to a smooth finish.

Linseed oil retains the natural colour of the oak, with a slight yellowish finish.

The Dark oak wax is our favourite, making the beam look more rustic.
